چکیده
Aim: The influence of advanced age on the outcome repeat resections performed for colorectal liver metastasis (CLM) is ill-defined. We aimed to evaluate safety and efficacy recurrence CLMs in younger (≤70 years) elderly patients (70< years), define predictive factors survival.
Material Method: A prospectively maintained database a single center including 291 CLM between 1998 2019 was analyzed retrospectively. Short long-term outcomes were compared among (n=99, 34%) (n=192, 66%) patient groups who treated by recurrence.
Results: Although statistically not significant, analysis different (≤70, 70-75, 75-80, 80< have given similar results terms 1, 3, 5-year survival (p=0.143). Globally curative resection validated as determinant factor estimation following recurrences according multivariate (p

BACKGROUND A retrospective review is presented of a single institution's experience with multivisceral resections for locally-advanced colorectal cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty-eight patients, who had undergone RO multiorgan resection, were identified from the database of a total of 1150 patients operated on for colorectal carcinoma in the years 1995-2005 at a single center. There were ...
متن کاملSynchronous resections of primary colorectal tumor and liver metastasis by laparoscopic approach.
Liver metastasis of colorectal cancer is common. Resection of solitary tumors of primary and metastatic colorectal cancer can have a favorable outcome. Open resection of primary colorectal tumor and liver metastasis in one operation or in separate operations is currently common practice. Reports have shown that synchronous resections do not jeopardize short or long-term surgical outcomes and th...
متن کاملLaparoscopic combined colorectal and liver resections for primary colorectal cancer with synchronous liver metastases
BACKGROUNDS/AIMS Synchronous liver metastases (SLMs) are found in 15-25% of patients at the time of diagnosis with colorectal cancer, which is limited to the liver in 30% of patients. Surgical resection is the most effective and potentially curative therapy for metastatic colorectal carcinoma (CRC) of the liver. The comparison of simultaneous resection of primary CRC and synchronous liver metas...
متن کاملClinicopathological analysis of recurrence patterns and prognostic factors for survival after hepatectomy for colorectal liver metastasis
BACKGROUND Hepatectomy is recommended as the most effective therapy for liver metastasis from colorectal cancer (CRCLM). It is crucial to elucidate the prognostic clinicopathological factors. METHODS Eighty-three patients undergoing initial hepatectomy for CRCLM were retrospectively analyzed with respect to characteristics of primary colorectal and metastatic hepatic tumors, operation details...
